Behind The Scenes of "More Than A Lover"

When I set out to produce "More Than A Lover," my goal was to create a track that would leave a lasting impression on listeners. I knew that simplicity was key, so I focused on incorporating a few essential elements, such as a bouncy Synth Bass, dreamy chords, and a beat that would get listeners grooving to the song's vibe.

Behind The Scenes of "EXHALE"

"EXHALE," the original version of the track, was a chilled jazz tune featuring piano accompaniment that was produced in 2017. To bring it up to date, I enlisted the help of Chris Hoffmann, from Germany, to layer in live instrumentation of drums with my drums and I added in more guitar tracks. With these new additions and some carefully crafted touches of re-produced synth bass and synths, the final version of the track is now a jam that hits all the right notes.

Behind The Scenes of "Heart2Heart"

"Heart2Heart," AKA "I'll Always Love You," was a song I created my senior year of high school in 2015. However, I didn't get around to finishing it until my freshman year of college, a year later. I almost scrapped the project entirely, but my mom heard the beginning chords and said, “you can do something with that.” Despite my initial reluctance, I decided to sit the song aside and would come back to it at another time. Sometimes ideas come quickly, and other times it can take days, months, or even years for me to come back to the song’s draft. Nevertheless, eventually, I always manage to come up with something new, and that's precisely what happened.

Behind The Scenes of "Royalty"

"Royalty," drew inspiration from artists such as Mac Miller, Justin Bieber, and Justin Timberlake. I wanted to incorporate Mac Miller in the forefront, with particular inspiration from the song’s rhythm "Ladders," which I had previously arranged on my YouTube channel being the most viewed video. The guitar work on the track was expertly layered in by Adam Hawley (guitarist), and you can definitely hear the influence of Justin Bieber in the chorus and Justin Timberlake in the bridge.

Behind The Scenes of "Later On"

"Later On," was produced during my freshman year of college in 2016. The original tempo was slower, with a more pronounced jazz feel. I transformed the track into an R&B feel by adding layers of chords and reproducing the beat.

Behind The Scenes of "Twilight"

"Twilight," originally titled "Why Do You Treat Me This Way," has always had a certain punch to it, which I aimed to maintain in the revamped version. The track was initially produced in 2015 during my senior year of high school. I made some changes to the beat and the synth bass while keeping the key modulation intact, as this is not often heard in modern R&B now.

Behind The Scenes of "OutOfLA"

Gotta Get “OutofLA" is significantly influenced by Michael Jackson, an iconic figure who has profoundly impacted my music. When producing and mixing the track, I imagined the song being played at a live venue concert with live drums, and aimed to capture that sound, that energy and the Four-on-the-floor kick pattern pumping through the chest in the recording.

Behind The Scenes of "KISMIT"

"KISMIT," originally titled "Foolin' Around," underwent some minor changes, primarily to the lyrics and the synth bassline on the key modulation. Adam Hawley (guitarist) also provided expert guitar layering. The track was produced during my freshman year of college in 2016.

Behind The Scenes of "Anything"

"Anything" is possible! My aim was to create a ballad that would bring the entire album to a positive and inspiring close. I didn't want to rely solely on piano to carry through, so I incorporated a beat midway through the song to add a new dimension to the sound.
